about us

LUX ART & DESIGN is a custom supplier of fine art to the hospitality industry and creator of high definition art (LUX-HDA) and digital signage content .  Our clientele includes large and small hotels, resorts, wineries, restaurants, spas, cruise ships – any business that strives to provide its patrons with a better-than-average experience.

The company is both a fresh face (founded in 2004), and the fruition of more than two decades of experience.

The company's principals each bring a unique skill set to the table, combining successful careers in film, television, photography, advertising, marketing, and public relations.

Rob Wilson's work directing for network television, especially on travel and lifestyle shows, gave him a deep respect for the art of the innkeeper and a talent for visually portraying the magic qualities of special places. His technical experience in television now carries over to his role as Creative Director and the development of LUX-HDA (high definition art) and DIGITAL SIGNAGE CONTENT.

Julian Siminski's long experience in international public relations, advertising and marketing gave him a rare talent for evoking a client's best qualities.

Art and travel have been lifelong passions for both, and LUX emerged almost organically from their partnership, which began in television and film production in 1984.

They started actively creating custom artwork for clients on a freelance basis in 2004. In 2005 they signed their first artists, and have expanded their business to represent dozens of fine artists in all mediums around the globe, as well as creating strategic partnerships with leading technology companies, manufacturers and systems integrators.

Our name "LUX" is from the Latin for light. It is also a family name from Alsace-Lorraine, as well as the scientific unit of illuminance and luminous emittance, reflecting our mission of merging traditional art and cutting-edge technology, presenting the best of the old and the best of the new, through the timeless medium of light.
